THE STORY SO FAR
1979
THE BEGINNING
1979 saw a young George Vidovic establish GMV Garages in the back of a one-car Brighton garage. A brash and eager teenager he didn't realise it would be the start of a motoring journey that would last a lifetime...
GMV PERFORMANCE AND CHROME SHOP
In 1981 GMV Garages expanded to include the GMV Performance and Chrome Shop. In response to the demand for chromed automotive parts George used this to establish and build his strong relationships and friendships within the hot-rod fraternity.

SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL MOTORSHOW
1982 was the first time a Python Sports car appeared at the Sydney International motor show. That original Python S/R can still be found in the possession of python vehicles australia in there new location in hallam victoria
PYTHON VEHICLES AUSTRALIA
In 1983 GMV Garages became Python Vehicles Australia, a business selling cobra Replicas and spare parts.

GV RESTORATIONS
In conjunction with GMV Chrome Shop and Python Vehicles, George set-up GV Restorations to deal with restoring classic, veteran and all sorts of vehicles.
SOUTH MELBOURNE
After much hopping between Melbourne suburbs Python finally made the move to South Melbourne, setting up a retail workshop and showroom.

1997
PYTHON RACING
Python Racing launched in 1997
and hasn't looked back. The original race car was the #98, seen here tearing up the track at the inaugural race event "the race of a thousand years" on the street

FIRST PLACE
Python Racing's very first championship win came only a year later. George finished first in the Victorian Sports Car Championship as driver of the Python #98.

2000
...AND AGAIN
In 2000 George won the championship again, this time acting in the role of team owner and crew chief.
OUR SECOND RACE-CAR
After the recent year's successes Python Racing introduced a second sports car into the team. This year George also saw a podium finish 3rd place in the Victorian Sports Car Championship, and this time back behind the wheel.

PYTHON CHOPPERS
Python Choppers was introduced in 2005 as a motorcycle division of the Python brand. It has since gone on to become one of the top motorbike custom shops in Australia.
MICHAEL SCHUMACHER
In a definite career highlight George constructed a Python Sports car for the one and only, and at the time leading, F1 driver Michael Schumacher.

MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL MOTORSHOW
George in 2006 and 2009 was a spokesperson for the Python brand @ the melbourne international motor shows and established himself as the premium cobra replica builder in australia

In recent years the Python brand has reinforced it's position at the top of Australian market giving George the opportunity to work on some very exciting projects, such as:

RACING USA
for the very first time George will be Campaigning the Python #99 race car in the United States. To see how the Python race-cars stack up against America's best has been a dream for a very long time and in 2017 the race car will be shipped to the united states where it will finally happen with an addition of a mclaren m6b can-am car we are now racing two cars in various events throughout the united states.
